Jeffrey Roe has just completed his studies in Digital Media Engineering in DCU. He is a founding member of Ireland’s first Hackerspace, TOG. Jeffrey has been experimenting with microcontrollers for a number of years completing projects such as binary clocks, robots, 3D tracking systems and home automation. In the summer months he has worked in industry, first in DCU as a researcher in the area of assistive technology and in Google’s European Headquarters as a Site Reliability Engineer intern. When not studying or creating electronic contraptions, Jeffrey gives workshops and talks on electronics, free software and hackerspaces.
