Philip is a Partner and Head of the Commercial Department at Mason Hayes+Curran. Having studied at University College Dublin, De Paul University, Chicago and at the University of Oxford, Philip joined Mason Hayes+Curran where he completed his legal training. Philip advises both public and private clients in relation to communications, information technology, intellectual property and competition law. Philip has also developed a focused regulatory advisory practice which includes public procurement law, data protection law and energy law.
Philip has co-authored the second and third editions of Business Law published by Oxford University Press in conjunction with the Irish Law Society’s Law School. He also co-authored a book entitled Irish Information Technology Law published by Cavendish. He previously served as President of the Technology, Media and Intellectual Property Commission of AIJA and was recently elected to AIJA’s Executive Committee.
